AS names are a problem - I also have a collection at https://bgp.potaroo.net/asn.txt, built by scraping the RIR data, but frankly it has its issues - I would be keen to help with a common effort to clean up AS name data!
Kurt Kayser - 19-05-2022 09:34:24
I see also a problem for user that they don't know for sure what is expected to put into the ASN-name field. Their own name (like the owner) or the user of the ASN, or something else..

I'm scribing and I did not catch the name of the speaker of the first question after Ben Cox'es talk. Can anyone help me with that?
Kurt Kayser - 19-05-2022 09:52:22
Thanks, Job. well spoken. I like this comment.

A simpler version of this architecture scales for nic.br with 500+ child CAs
Kurt Kayser - 19-05-2022 10:21:56
So RPKI would complement BGPsec here. Sounds plausible.
Ties de Kock - 19-05-2022 10:22:11
@Kurt: RPKI can provide the trust anchor for BGPsec
Kurt Kayser - 19-05-2022 10:22:30
makes sense.
Job Snijders - 19-05-2022 10:28:01
@Kurt BGPsec is an RPKI-based technology, just like Route Origin Validation (ROV) is an RPKI-based technology. Think of RPKI as a foundation on which multiple application can run

cool, yet another Rust library which distributions cannot use because the Rust development ecosystem is a dumpster fire...

People aren't expected to care about both IPv6 and DNS? Maybe related to most ISPs around here not offering IPv6.
